Carson's first kindergarten field trip to the Harris Heritage pumpkin patch was a blast. He is so blessed to have such a wonderful teacher to start his school years off in a wonderful way and a great group of classmates who he is going to have so much fun learning and growing with throughout the years! I was lucky enough to tag along as a chaperone, and I was in charge of Carson and two of his classmates, Rylee and Rory, who were adorable. At the family-owned farm, the kids picked out pumpkins, played on a hay fort, took a garden tour, planted seeds, rode a hay ride, posed for pictures and got to meet and pet all of their animals. I was so impressed with Carson and his class on the trip. They used manners, asked questions and were pretty darn well-behaved for a bunch of 5 and 6-year olds on a farm! :)
Owen got to go on his own little adventure that day, and I am equally proud of him for being such a great boy for my friend Rachel and for venturing out without his mommy. I have been watching my friend Rachel's kids off and on, and Owen has become friends with her two boys, Logan and Ethan, who are both around his age. It warms my heart to see Owen finally coming out of his shell and making friends. Logan had his preschool field trip to another pumpkin patch that morning, and Owen was lucky enough to tag along. Rachel said he did great, and when I went to pick him up, he was happy to see me, but also not too thrilled to be leaving his friends, ha ha! I must admit, I cried when I left him that morning....I'm just not used to leaving my little "O", but I am so happy to see him growing into an amazing big boy.
