We did our usual Halloween festivities this year.....pumpkin carving, cookie decorating, pumpkin seed making, and trick-or-treating. Carson is still in his teenage mutant ninja turtle phase, so he was Michelangelo. Owen likes to play Skylanders, so he wanted to be Chop Chop, which is a skeleton knight type of guy. I looked up Chop Chop costumes, and some ran close to $50. No way was I going to spend that, so I talked him into being a skeleton, and we got him a little foam sword like Chop Chop has. Owen was so excited to have his face painted (although I did a pretty crappy job, ha ha) because he wanted to look scary. He kept trying to scare us and make creepy faces! We hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!

The boys with the treat bags they made themselves! They drew what faces they wanted on the back of a cereal box. I then cut out the faces and taped them onto the bags. The boys used fabric paint to paint inside the stencils, and then I traced around the faces with glow-in-the-dark fabric paint. I think they turned out pretty cool! |

Carson's friend, Matthew, came trick-or-treating with us. Carson loved having one of his friends with us! |

Jason and I at our friend's Halloween party as Daisy Buchanan and Jay Gatsby from The Great Gatsby! I forgot how much fun it is to dress up. :) |
