Carson completed his first quarter of school, and at the bobcat rally the school holds for each grade, the teachers awarded students with honor roll, attendance awards, transportation awards, etc. The school welcomes the parents to come support their children during the rallies, so of course Owen and I had to go and see what it was all about. :) Carson told me that morning he didn't think his name would get called, but I told him Owen and I would come anyway and cheer for him and his class. Sure enough, Carson's name was called for Distinguished Honor Roll! His little face just lit up as he stood up to accept his award and a prize from the prize box. I would have been proud of Carson no matter what (and I truly mean that, as long as he is doing his best and treating everyone kindly and with respect then I know good things will happen for him), but I was overjoyed to see the delight on his face for getting recognized for his hard work (well, as hard as kindergarten work can be, ha ha). :) Sorry, my pictures are not of the best quality, Owen was messing with my camera and changed the settings on me, plus I was too busy clapping!
