Carson Turns 6!

It makes me feel old knowing I now have a 6-year-old! :)But, I wouldn't trade the last 6 years for anything. I'm so blessed I was able to spend almost every moment of Carson's first 6 years with him to watch him grow into the smart, caring, quick-witted little boy he has become. We ended up not having a big party this year. Jason had been gone for a month and I just didn't get my act together. I admit, I had some mom guilt, but in the end it was the perfect low key, but fun day!  We made ninja turtle cupcakes so he could celebrate with his class. I also found a cool ninja turtle birthday banner and wrapping paper. And since he had a half day at school, I told him to invite one friend to go with us to Peter Piper Pizza. His friend Jonathan is also a huge ninja turtle fan, so the boys had fun playing games and eating pizza in their ninja turtle gear. :) The best gift of all came after pizza....we headed to Tucson to pick up Jason from the airport. Carson and Owen couldn't wait to see their dad again after a month of him being away. Once we were home, it was cake and present time. Carson is so blessed to have such wonderful and thoughtful family send him gifts and cards and birthday wishes. We thank each and every one of you for thinking of him on his special day!

I let him open one gift before school. :)

Carson is such a good big brother - he told Owen he could open one of his gifts. Owen was thrilled at the opportunity!

Sweet boys.
