Thanks to Gammy and Papa Steve, we now have enough science experiments to last us at least until next year! The first experiment from Carson's birthday gift we chose was to make quicksand. At first the quicksand was contained in a small bowl, but then we decided to take the experiment outside where quicksand craziness ensued! It was really fun, and the boys loved getting their baby dinosaurs and their loose change and watching it disappear into the quicksand. I can tell we are going to have great fun with this science kit.

This is how much Owen loved the quicksand, lol! Please excuse the lack of clothes on the boys - I didn't want all their clothes ruined! |
Our second experiment was making "worms" where we mixed blue worm goo and worm activator (calcium chloride). The texture of the "worms" was really cool, and the boys enjoyed making fat worms, skinny worms, long worms, short worms and little balls of goo, which they called worm eggs.
Stay tuned for more experiments from my little scientists! :)
