Dying Eggs

This year we didn't get around to dying eggs until the day after Easter. Jason had the day off so he got to join in on the fun. Carson was very excited when he saw mommy get out the all the eggs. Of course he thought we were going to cook, so he brought his chair over to the kitchen to help. We let him put the tablets into the cups and he enjoyed watching them fizzle and change color. It was also a fun way to go over colors in the process! Finally it was time to dye the eggs. Carson really enjoyed dropping the eggs in the different colored cups, although sometimes he would get a little too excited and splash water everywhere, then he would giggle excitedly - such a little boy thing to do! =) Once the eggs were dry, we put funny sticker faces on them, naming them after members of the family. Overall, it was a fun and messy first egg dying experience, but getting messy was part of the fun!
