No More Crib

Since Carson has been sleeping so well, Jason and I thought it would be a good time to convert Carson's crib to a toddler bed, and see how he does. I built it up for a couple of weeks and bought him some cute dinosaur bedding. The first night, I think he fell out 3-4 times, and I would find him sleeping beside his bed on the pillows I put down to break his fall. The next night he kept falling out again, and the third night was pretty much the same scenario. So once again I was sleep deprived mostly because I would wake up worried and go check on him numerous times throughout the night. I was having a serious case of deja vu from when we first brought Carson home, and I was also seriously rethinking my decision. I figured he has to learn sometime though, and we were getting ready to leave for San Diego, so I'll see how he does this week. So far, since we arrived home from our trip, he hasn't fallen out. Fingers crossed he's getting the hang out of it!

Other than the falling out of the bed problem, he loves his toddler bed and his dino bedding. I think he feels like a big boy getting in and out of his bed all by himself. And during nap time, he will actually go to his bed, climb in and turn on his turtle or grab some books for me to read to him.....well most of the time. I just can't believe my little boy is growing up!
