Playing at the Park

Carson and I checked out a new park in Sierra Vista last week. I have been realizing I don't take as many pictures of him as I used to, so I'm trying to bring my camera wherever we go from now on. Here are some pictures from our morning!

Painting with Jason

Here are some pictures of Jason and Carson having some painting one evening. As you can see, things got a little messy!

I know I always update on Carson and the new baby, but rarey speak of Jason and I. Well, I have some great news concerning Jason - he has just completed his final college class! The graduation will be in April, and then he's a college graduate! I'm so very proud of him and all the hard work he has put into getting his degree, on top of working a full-time job and being a wonderful father and husband to Carson and I.

Pottytraining Progress!

A couple of weeks ago, Carson was excited to pick out his very first undies. He decided on the Pixar movie package, mainly because of The Incredible ones, which he would wear every day if he could! We started out with him wearing them for an hour, and I was going to add another hour each day, but by the 3rd day he was pretty much in them for the entire day, and has been every since! Of course, we have better days than others, and he still refuses to poop in the potty (he will bring me a pull-up when he has to poop, so at least he isn't pooping in his underwear!), but I am so proud of the progress he has made!
I have had to be quite creative in getting him this far. We use a sticker chart and he gets to pick out a small dinosaur as a reward when he finishes a row or goes so long without an accident. One trick I use when we are out in public (because he gets nervous peeing in public restrooms) is I keep a small bag of Cherrios in my purse, and when it's time for him to go, I let him throw a few Cherrios in the toilet, and then he has to aim for them with his pee - he thinks it's a fun game and it's pretty entertaining to watch too! =) He is quite proud to be in big boy underwear, and I have great hope that he will continue to improve!

Carson's Car Wash

It has been so rainy and windy here lately, that I've had to come up with creative things for Carson and I to do while stuck inside. The other day, we decided to have a car wash for all of his cars. I found some things around the house to use to squirt water and wash the cars, and then filled the tub with bubbles and water. Carson was really excited to have all his cars go through his car wash. After they were clean, instead of waiting for them to dry, we used the blow dryer. Just something fun to pass the time!

Carson Cleaning

The other night, Carson told me he was going to clean the living room (which happened to already be clean), but I said to go for it anyways. He then preceded to put all of his toys, the pillows from the couch and anything else he could find in a big pile in the middle of the living room floor. I wanted to stop him, but he was being so concise where everything went and he looked so serious, I didn't want to interupt his important work!

Train Time at Storytime

One of our weekly activities is attending the Storytime at a local library. Carson enjoys singing the songs, reading and listening to books and playing games with the other children. This day, the theme was trains. The kids were read a train book, colored a train picture and then got to make their own train with each other. It was so cute to watch them marching around the room! I got a couple of pictures because I happened to have my camera with me, but of course, Carson wasn't looking at me in any of them! He happened to be one of the youngest participating inthe activities, but he did really great playing along with all the older kids. He loves playing with older kids. He's my little social butterfly!
