Teeball - Year 2

Carson's second season of teeball has come and gone....too fast if you ask me. I love watching him learn the game, the kids are so cute, and I am just a baseball fan in general. The little town of Benson really gets into the baseball season as well. They hold a parade and opening ceremonies. For closing ceremonies, they let the teeball teams play on the big baseball field and even had announcers. Carson thought that was pretty special. It's amazing how much a difference a year makes. This year, Carson really understood what he was supposed to do, and he had fun with it. He hit doubles, tagged a bunch of people out, and knew where to throw the ball when it came to him. He would ask me every day if he had baseball practice, and he loved playing pitcher and 2nd base. I hope he continues to enjoy the game - next year brings a new challenge for him - coach pitch!

This picture cracks me up because I always stood like that with my feet turned in. I know I have volleyball pictures where I am standing exactly like this. He sure is my kid!

Owen enjoyed cheering Carson on. Next year, he will get to play teeball!

Carson told me the last game he was going to slide. He had been practicing around the house and on his slip and slide. And....he did it...twice! I think that was the thing he was most proud of all season. :)
