One-Year Doctor Check-up

Owen turning one also means it's time for another visit with Dr. Smith....and this time he had to get 4 shots. Owen does not like the doctor's office, and he let's it be known. He doesn't like getting weighed; he doesn't like having his temperature taken; he doesn't like when the doctor looks in his ears (or tries to, I have to pretty much hold him down!); he pretty much dislikes the whole experience...poor boy. But don't feel too bad for him - once the doctor leaves the room, he's running around the room laughing! He actually did better with his shots than he did with everything else, so he got to enjoy his very first ice cream cone after the appointment.

Oh, I almost forgot to post his stats.....well, actually, I can't find where I wrote them down, so I'm going from memory........Weight: 21.5 pounds, which is the 30%. I was a little worried because he used to be in the 70th percentile, but the doctor said this was normal for his age, especially since he's walking all over the place. He's just burning off everything he eats, so as long as he's eating (which he is!) then I shouldn't worry. Height: I can't remember how many inches he was, but he was in the 60th percentile, so he's pretty tall, just like his older brother. :) Head circumference: once again, I can't remember the inches, but his head increased to 40%, up from 25%! Overall, as the doctor puts it...."he's perfect!" And I totally agree. :)

 

I'm thinking it might be time for a haircut soon! :)
