While Brenda and Erin were still visiting us, we decided to try our hand at horseback riding on base. For $12/hour you can rent a horse at your skill level and ride the trails on your own. While Brenda watched Carson, Erin, Jason and I rode off into the sunset. Well, if it were only that peaceful, our darn horses were quite stubborn, and since it was towards the end of the day, all they wanted to do was head back to the stable. Finally, one-by-one we gave up and just let them take us back.
Carson also had fun riding a horse of his own! =)

My horse, Blanco, he was quite stubborn and grumpy; he tried to kick Jason's horse. But I liked him anyways, because he was slow! =) As I grew more comfortable I tried to get him to pick up speed, so maybe next time I'll be ready to go faster.
