We have grass!

We decided to use some of our tax money this year to work on our backyard. Yesterday we had artificial grass installed. We went with the artificial grass because it's hard to keep grass alive out where we live and it requires a lot of water to keep it looking good. Knowing Jason and I, I'm pretty sure we would have been fine in the beginning in maintaining it, but we would have evenutally probably slacked on the maintenance, so we thought this was our best choice. It was too expensive to do the whole yard, but all we really wanted was a space for Carson to be able to play, and I think it turned out great! We all had a lot of fun rolling around in it after they were finished. =)

We plan on placing pavers around the grass and putting rock in the rest of the yard...hopefully soon. I'm also going to pave a place off the side of our porch for Jason's barbeque area. And evenutally we will put in more trees and bushes, and hopefully I can find a spot for a garden. I've been focusing a lot on decorating and painting the inside or our house, but I'm really excited to have finally started working on our yard as well.
