Adjusting to having two kids hasn't allowed me much time to post on our blog - so I will probably be playing catch-up for a little bit, until I get everyone on some sort of schedule. Here are some pictures of when we brought Owen home and the first time Carson met baby Owen. It was chilly and rainy - not a typical Arizona day - but Owen's delivery was not typical either! As we drove past the gas station, it definitely brought back memories. Although it still feels like a dream to me. Owen slept the entire ride home. So far, he is a really great sleeper - something Carson was not. I was so excited to see my first baby (Carson will always be my baby!) since I hadn't seen him for 2 days, and I also could not wait for Carson and Owen to meet. I think I was on the verge of tears the whole way home! I blame some of that on hormones and lack of sleep. =) Carson was so excited we were finally home and was so sweet with Owen. He wanted to hold Owen right away and help change his diaper when it was time. Jason videotaped the moment the two brothers met, but I haven't had a chance to upload it yet. Actually, I haven't even had time to look at it myself!

Making Pizzas!
These pictures are actually from the night Owen was born. Carson and I had a big day - we went to the park, grocery shopping, made pizzas and I even went to a jewelry party at a friend's house in Hereford that same night. I have been wanting to make pizzas with Carson for some time because I thought it would be fun, and Carson loves to help me cook. And as I suspected, he loved it, so we will have to make our own pizzas for often. Next time, I will try to get him to experiment with some different toppings - all he wanted to was pepperoni! The pizzas turned out quite tasty!

Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic
Back in February,(Yes, I am way behind on posting!) Jason took Carson to his first Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic. It is a free program on Saturday morning for preschool-aged kids and their parents to partake in a building project. This week was the "Lowebot," a half-car, half-robot thing. The kids get their own goggles, apron and tools to build with. When their project is completed, they get a certificate and patch to sew on their work apron. Carson was really excited to show me the car he made when he and Jason got home, and it was nice to have a morning to myself! Now that Owen is here, this is something we can bring Carson to to give him a little break from his littler brother. =) These pictures were taken at home after the clinic.

Jason's Graduation
Last weekend, Jason graduated from Wayland Baptist University. We were fortunate enough to have Tim and Dodie share in this special occasion with us. I am so proud of Jason for following through and earning his degree on top of working a full-time job and being a wonderful father and husband to Carson and I.
Fire Station Tour #2
Our playgroup held another tour at the firestation this year, and of course Carson was excited to go! We got a tour of the fire station, the kids got to walk through the front of the fire truck and they got to see inside an ambulance. Carson was most thrilled with the fireman helmet he received and wore it off and on the rest of the day.
