Flag Football

I now have a little footballer. Carson has completed his first year in flag football, and it was an entertaining one! Carson was a little nervous about football, but decided to give it a shot. He was lucky enough to have some awesome coaches and kids to play with, which helped him get over the nervousness and enjoy the season. I don't think he complained once about going to practice, and they had 2-3 a week, plus Saturday games versus neighboring communities. Although it took much of our time, I am kind of sad it's over. He looked so darn cute in his uniform! From the start, Carson was determined to pull flags. He was really disappointed his first couple of games when he didn't pull any, but he practiced really hard and pulled his first one during his 3rd game. I think he ended the season with 4-5 flags. He may not have been the biggest or fastest, but he sure worked his butt off and had a really great attitude about it. I was so proud of him and his determination. I also loved the discipline football taught him this year. Besides learning about the game, the kids worked on push-ups, sits-ups, running and agility. Owen also had fun watching his older brother and making friends with some of the other siblings. Before we know it, he'll be out there too! I have a ton of pictures and even some video, so I may go into 2 posts, but they are just too cute to leave off the blog!

Before his first game!

I made Owen a Bobcat football shirt to wear to the games. On the back is Heffel and Carson's #4. Jason and I also had Bobcat football shirts, on the back of mine, I put "Carson's Mom" and his number. We went all out!

He's so stinkin' cute! :)

Carson playing defense. That is what he usually played, except for a few exceptions towards the end of the season.

Me and O protecting our fair skin from the sun while enjoying a game. :)

Carson being consoled by Chase after a little shake-up on the field. I just thought it was a really cute moment.

Owen checking out the cheerleaders. ;)

As you can tell, Owen was really interested in this particular game. Lol.
Push-ups before the game!

And then sit-ups.

Get that flag! I was heard yelling this a lot during the games, ha ha.
A view of the field - yes, they played the length of the field. Flag football is no joke here in little Benson!

I love this picture.

He got to be captain one game!

Owen chilling with his homies.
