This year, Carson carved his entire pumpkin by himself. This was a big deal in the Heffel household. :) He then proceeded to try and carve more of my smaller pumpkins that I was going to use for crafts - he really got into it this year, haha. He was so proud of his work, as were Jason and I. Owen had fun cleaning out his pumpkin and throwing the guts around, but when it came to carving, he lasted about 2 minutes! He's only 2, so I pretty much expected this. What 2-year-old wouldn't want to put his hands in pumpkin gooeyness and spread it all over the table? :)
Carson asked me for a Megaman pumpkin, well first it was for an Avenger pumpkin, but I couldn't find any patterns that fit my skill level, so we moved on to Megaman. I was quite proud of my pumpkin, and I am sure glad I took a picture because a couple of days later, a curious little blonde-haired 2-year-old accidently knocked it off the counter and pieces of Megman were splattered about the floor. Oops! And Jason, well, Jason went the easy route this year. :)

Mommy kind of took over Owen's pumpkin, haha. :) |

Carson working intently. Don't worry, he was supervised so we didn't lose any fingers. :) |
