Olympic Fever

 



 The Heffel household had Olympic fever while the games were taking place. Carson, especially, enjoyed watching the athletes compete this year.....or maybe he just liked staying up late. Hmmmm, whatever the reason, we had fun cheering on the USA and also making a few Olympic-themed crafts and games. My favorite quotation from Carson was when he exclaimed, "I love this holiday!" I must admit, I am not quite talented enough to come up with all of this crafty stuff on my own - thankfully, one of the blogs I read (I Can Teach My Child) had created a nifty little Olympic booklet for her subscribers. To earn their gold medals, they had to complete this ring toss. I also set up hurdles for them to jump over in the backyard and we did a javelin throw with straws. Fun times!
