Some crafts we've done in the past couple of months......

Handprint/Footprint Trees - the boys had a lot of fun with these! |
Carson has been working on addition lately. He really likes it and did this pretty much by himself after I helped him with the first one. Then the other day, he was playing a game, and I told him he needed 8 more stars; a few minutes later, I hear him talking to himself, "I have 2 stars, so I need 6 more." My little smartypants! |
Ghosts for our frontyard trees. We just rolled up newspaper and tied part of a white trashbag around it. Then Carson cut out some black eyes that we glued on. So easy! |
Owen making his peek-through bottle. He absolutely loved this little activity, and carries around his bottle everywhere we go. I think I'm going to make more of these for our car trip to Kansas. |
This activity was mainly for Owen, but Carson jumped in and made one too. |
I will ask Owen to find something, and he'll look for it and point to it. |

I got a great deal on these Melissa & Doug lace and trace animals. Carson loves threading the shoelaces through the holes, and it's great practice for his fine motor skills. |
I gave Carson a little lesson on graphing with some M&M packets he received from his Halloween stash. We put the M&M's into groups by color, and then with his do-a-dot markers, he had to mark how many there were on our graph. After a few colors, he started to get the hang of it. Then I asked him which color had the most M&M's and which one had the least (and which one tasted the best, haha). I got this idea off of Pinterest - the most addicting site ever!

Our Halloween color-by-numbers (or letters). Owen's, Carson's and my lovely witch. Carson is really into the color-by-numbers and you can find so many of them to print online. |
I found this Tangled Pumpkin craft on the I Can Teach My Child blog. It was super messy with all the glue so I am so glad we did this outside! Carson had a lot of fun with it, and thought it was super cool when it hardened and we could hang it up. |
