Candy Experiments

I knew we had way too much candy to eat this year, so Carson and I used some of it in some candy experiments. A friend from my mom's group, posted this site....www.candyexperiments.com/p/experiments.html. Carson was really excited to try some of them out, little did he know he was learning at the same time. Sneaky mommy. =)
First, we did the floating M's and S's experiment. If you drop M&M's and Skittles into water, the M's and S's are supposed to float to the top. In between eating some of the candy, he watched intently for the M's and S's, and sure enough some of them floated to the top. Very cool!
We also did the Sink/Float experiment, which Carson loved. Some candy will float, such as Kit Kats and 3 Muskateers, so Carson had to guess if he thought the candy would float or sink. He had fun guessing, dropping the candy into the water and seeing if he was right or wrong. Could he be my little scientiest in the making?

A teething and drooling Owen happily watching our experiments
