Halloween 2010

Halloween was really fun this year with two boys. I wanted to make the boys Batman and Robin, but when we got to the store, Carson just had to be Iron Man - I didn't even know he liked Iron Man. So there went my plan down the drain. I then found this cute camoflouge jumper and hat, which I thought would work great for Owen's costume. I then found Jason's dog tags and pins from his Marine days and dressed up the outfit a little. Cute and simple.

The day before Halloween, the playdate group the boys and I belong to had a Halloween Party with games, face painting and trick-or-treating. The boys had a fun time playing with their friends and earning some treats. Then the next night, Carson was ready to hit the streets for some serious Halloween loot. Last year, he was quite shy when it came to taking candy from our neighbors. This year, we had to keep telling him not to take too much! I thought Owen might get sleepy or scared with all the kids in costumes and strangers around, but he was wide awake the whole time, and I don't think he cried once. Of course, being in his mom's and dad's arms probably helped.

We walked up to this one house, and instead of answering the door, the guy had a really creepy mask on, and poked his head out the window, which was right where we were standing. I thought Carson and Owen were going to lose it, and they about did, but then Carson yelled, his voice shaky, "I'm Iron Man!" like that would scare the creature away. It was priceless. =)

When we got home, Carson was almost just as excited to hand out candy to the kids. He was so cute, putting the candy in the bags and telling the kids to have a good night. Here are some pictures of Iron Man and Soldier Owen.
