Children's Museum Visit

I have been trying to take advantage of living so close to Tucson lately and decided to take Carson to the Tucson Children's Museum one day. He has been there before, but it was awhile ago, and he kept telling me he wanted to go see dinosaurs, so I thought this would be a perfect outing. Of course, once he saw the actual dinosaurs (which are large and lifelike), he wanted nothing to do with them! Good thing there were many other rooms for him to enjoy.

His favorite was the train room, where we sat and played with toy trains. He also loved the vet clinic room. He took the stuffed cats and dogs out of their cages, and we checked their weight and heartbeats and gave them shots. However, I seriously think we spent the most time doing puzzles. Once he found the puzzle area, we couldn't leave until we attemped each puzzle, and let me tell you, there were a lot of them! I even tried to hide some, but Carson is getting too smart for me to trick him anymore. =) We had a great time, and I'm sure we'll make our way back there again soon! Here are some pictures from our morning....

Making mazes for balls to travel through - he enjoyed this area a lot too.

Carson playing around in the music room

Carson making his way through the strings. You had to pick a color and follow the string across the mat, going under or over other strings. Carson actually picked it up pretty quickly.

Carson workign on the power lines...

Doing puzzle after puzzle after puzzle....his favorite thing to do!

Playing a large game of Operation.
Climbing some nets in the forest room.

Getting a puppy out of his cage

Probably giving the puppy a shot....he always has to give shots first when playing doctor.

Checking the puppy's temperature...

Putting the puppy back in the cage... My little vet!

Ringing the bell on a big train car.

Playing in the train room.
