Carson's Birthday Festivities

We had a fun-filled weekend planned for Carson's 2nd birthday. On Friday, August 7th, his actual birthday, we started the day making pancakes. The video I took of him is posted in the previous blog entry. For lunch, I took Carson to a pizza place in Benson called R&R Pizza. They have a buffet and games for the kids to play. Plus, Carson loves the train they have running on a track on ceiling. I took a few pictures of Carson driving all by himself on one of the video games. We also won a ball in one of the machines on our first try, which he was pretty stoked about. Once Jason got home, we ate a yummy dinner I cooked, opened cards and presents from Jason and I and other family and then had a little cake. The big cake was for his party the next day, but you have to have cake on your actual birthday too {in my personal opinion! =)}! I didn't realize he had dirtied his shirt so much during dinner, so I apologize for his messy shirt in some of the pictures! Carson loved all the toys and cards he received and had a great time opening his presents, so thank you all who sent something!

The next morning was super busy getting ready for Carson's construction-themed birthday party! The party was from 2:30-4:30, but lasted a little longer, as parties usually do. Carson was fortunate enough to have so many friends to help him celebrate, including: Logan, Jacob, Harris, Aaron, Katie, Baby Sophia, Micheal, Baby Jake, DJ, Teddy, Chloe, and Mason. I bought play construction hats for the kids to wear and had stickers and letters so they could put their names on their own hats to take home with them. I also had a bunch of building toys, play tools, construction trucks and a sandbox, not to mention Carson's new playset to entertain the kids. The kids had fun knocking down a construction truck pinata filled with candy, and I was really proud of the construction-themed cake. Carson could not wait for the cake! I kept catching him trying to climb on the table to get a taste. He was so happy when it was finally cake time. =) Carson wants to thank everyone who came out to celebrate and play with him, and for making his day so special. He had a wonderful time and loves all the cool new toys he received! Also a special thank you to my friend, Diana, who took a majority of the party pictures! She did a fantastic job! Also another special thanks to Jason, Dan and David for getting Carson's new playset up in time for the party - you guys rock!

There are so many, I just created a site on Shutterfly. The best way to view them is to click on the album link, and then double-click on the first picture to enlarge it. From there, you can use the arrows to the right to go through the pictures one by one. If you have any troubles, feel free to email me.
