Mother's Day

This Mother's Day the only thing I really wanted was to sleep in =), talk to my mom, and spend the day with my two favorite boys. Nothing too special. Well, I did get to sleep, and I awoke to Carson running in my room and throwing a card in my face as I turned to see what he wanted. He looked so proud to give it to me, that I couldn't help but laugh. Carson had picked out the card all by himself....and of course it had music; he loves the cards with music, and he had written in it as well.....or should I say scribbled. =)

After a relaxing day, we headed to Tucson to Oregano's because they have this amazing dessert I was craving, not to mention fantastic Chicago-style pizza. We had to wait 45 minutes to get in, and we even got there a little after 4, but Carson had fun running around outside showing off for all the people waiting to be seated, and the food was delicious, so it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend this place! As we drove home stuffed to the brim with cheese, garlic bread, and gooey cookies and ice cream, I was thinking about how thankful I am to have such a wonderful son and husband to spend this day with. I am also thankful to have such an amazing mother, who through the years has set an excellent example of how to be a patient, devoted and loving mother to me, my sister and brother, and I love her so much!
