Setting up our Christmas tree...

We finally got our Christmas tree up 1 1/2 weeks before we left for our trip, which is the main reason why we didn't get a real tree this year, although real trees are my favorite. I love the fresh pine smell; it reminds me of Christmas. Since we weren't getting a real tree, we decided to get something a little different - a fiber optic tree. I wasn't 100% sold on the idea, but Jason really wanted it, so I went along. It turned out to be really pretty with all the colors twinkling, even with no ornaments on the tree. It didn't even need Christmas lights, which was a good thing because Carson would have probably pulled them off as he did with all the ornaments. After a day, all of our Christmas ornaments ended up on the top 1/3 of the tree! Even with the ornament fiasco, it was nice to see our first Christmas tree up in our new house!

The tree lit, but with no ornaments yet.
