Timber Heffel

The Heffel family has a new member - Timber. He is about 4 months and is a black lab/husky/great pyranese mix. We were actually looking for a smaller dog, but once we all met Timber, his kind demeanor and gentleness with Carson won us over.
On Jason's way home from work yesterday, he decided spur of the moment to stop by the animal shelter. I told him to call me if he saw anything because I really didn't want to drive the 30 minutes with Carson if they didn't have anything. I really wasn't expecting a call back, but 10 minutes later, the phone rings and Jason says Carson and I should really come see this dog. I knew Jason was already hooked, so I thought why not, although I was skeptical when he said the words "husky" and "pyranese"! Once Carson and I arrived and saw this little guy in the cage, we fell in love too. He wasn't barking madly like some of the other dogs and he was so sweet with us. His brothers and sisters had recently been adopted, so you could tell that he was missing them by the way he was acting. Twenty minutes later he was ours (he was also peeing in Jason's car!)!
So far he has fit in great with our family. We're just working on crate training and potty training right now; which is like having another baby in the house! =)
